from $30.00

This 11×14” print is on high quality semi-gloss fine art paper of an oil on canvas painting features a radiant arrangement of blood oranges and blossoming flowers.. Flowing across the composition is Urdu calligraphy from a poem by Faiz Ahmed Faiz, called “August 1952” translated as:

“Signs of spring in the air/ Sensuous madness everywhere/ Autumn still rules the garden but still/ In some corners, birdsong the garden fills. The dark of night seems all around/ But the signs of dawn also abound/ Our blood burns in them or our hearts?/ In the gathering gloom a few lamps are alight!/ Having lost all, we can stand tall/ Free of life’s ups and downs, free at last!/ The prisoners will open their eyes in the garden/ The morning breeze has given us some sign/ The desert is still a wilderness but with our blood/ We have nourished many a thron.”
